SAIC is seeking a National Security Analyst to work in washington DC. The successful candidate will be a mid:level analyst with policy, strategy, and program management experience with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI, preferably already DOE Q and polygraph eligible

Job Description:

Provide analytical support to the Department of Energys National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation.

Major Duties:

: Support the development of policy and strategic level documents for the NNSA Office of Nuclear Threat Science to assist in facilitating an integrated counterterrorism/counterproliferation program.
: Coordinate policy decisions with interagency partners.
: Develop documents, reports, and briefings in support of DOE/NNSA, National Security Staff, and congressional taskings.
: Support the management of interagency and international technical collaborations.
: Represent the Office at technical, interagency, and international meetings.
: Develop briefings and supporting documentation for senior leadership on program activities.
: Draft and provide guidance on policies and procedures for protecting sensitive classified information.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

: Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
: Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and must have experience interacting with senior government officials.
: Policy, strategy, and program management experience.
: Active Top Secret/SCI, preferably already DOE Q and polygraph eligible.

Education and Experience

: Experience with DOE/NNSA:related offices highly preferred.
: Technical background not necessary, but working knowledge of technical and policy concepts related to nuclear weapons is highly desired, as well as a working knowledge of interagency relationships among DoD, NNSA, and other relevant government agencies.
: Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and must have experience interacting with senior government officials.
