About Ayana:

I completed my English degree at Dartmouth College in June 2011. (whoo oo!) Of course, my liberal arts education is quite diverse but the core of my academic career was represented by structural composition writing, argument development, technical editing, and persuasive language. Upon completion of my degree, I have developed an excellent understanding of grammar, syntax and academic/professional writing “do's and don'ts.”

My experience in tutoring began in high school where I tutored middle school students in English and Spanish. Additionally, I was solicited on several occasions to be a paper editor/writing tutor at Dartmouth College but declined due to time constraints while a student. Through my current professional and volunteer positions alike, I have gained experience advising on technical writing, personal statements, resumes and cover letters.

Although I am flexible, I believe I could be of most aid to middle school to college level students in search of writing help.

Writing is a dear passion of mine and I enjoy helping others challenge themselves to unleash the power of language. Otherwise, I am a very easygoing person who enjoys meeting new people and learning of varied perspectives.

Know that I will work diligently to achieve results with my students. All I ask is that the student do their part as I will always strive to exceed their expectations while reaching our goals.
